TODUNG UI CUP is an annual national soccer competition held by BEM FAKULTAS TEKNIK Universitas Indonesia.This year, Todung UI Cup 2025 brings the theme "More Than 90 Minutes", highlighting the ongoing issue of violence among football supporters. While football is a sport of passion and pride, the rising incidents of physical and verbal violence in stadiums and online platforms threaten the spirit of the game. From brawls between fan groups to unsafe matchday experiences, these acts distort what football truly stands for: unity, joy, and respect.Through the slogan #EmbracePossibilitiesBeyondTheGame, Todung UI Cup 2025 calls on all players, supporters, and stakeholders to reflect, respond, and rebuild a healthier football culture. Beyond the final whistle, the values we uphold as a community matter even more—because football should be a force for connection, not division.
Todung FTUI was initiated by Mr. Ir. Todung Barita Lumban Radja, M.Sc., the Dean of FTUI in 1987. He was a key figure in both the FTUI student community and Indonesian football, known for his dedication to students and academia.Mr. Todung played a significant role in the development of football in Indonesia. He served as the General Chair of Persija Jakarta in the 1990s and was instrumental in promoting the sport within academic environments. He was also one of the key figures behind the establishment of the football stadium at Universitas Indonesia, which became an important facility for student and university sports activities.To honor his legacy, the Sport Department BEM FTUI created the Todung UI Cup, an annual football tournament for engineering students across Indonesia. Now organized by the 2024 Sport Department BEM FTUI, it has become the largest football event for Sains and Technology students nationwide.
Todung UI Cup 2025 sees football as more than just a game, it is a platform to build solidarity, sportsmanship, and a culture of healthy competition among science and technology students across Indonesia.
